PAULO ARANAS, M.D.

As a board-certified family medicine physician, Dr. Paulo A. Aranas provides care for patients ages 5 and up. His range of care includes preventive medicine, routine checkups and physicals, well-child and sick pediatric care, acute and chronic disease management, sports medicine, women’s health care, immunizations, and diagnosis and treatment of various health concerns. He has a specific interest in obesity management, diabetes, hypertension, sports medicine and preventive care. He is board certified in obesity management and family medicine, and he is an ImPACT certified provider who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of concussion.

Dr. Aranas received his medical degree from the University of the Phillippines – College of Medicine and completed a family medicine residency at North Shore – LIJ Health System at Glen Cove Hospital in Glen Cove, N.Y. Before joining Morris Hospital, Dr. Aranas practiced for four years as a family medicine physician in the Herscher-Kankakee area.

Dr. Aranas has been surrounded by medical professionals his whole life, including his father who was a dentist, his maternal grandfather who was a radiologist, and now his wife who is also a doctor. Dr. Aranas is committed to being caring, sincere, and empathetic to all of his patients at all times. Sarah received her master’s degree in nursing from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Ill. and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Ill. She is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

She is committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive care, encouraging each patient to actively participate in their care. She believes it is essential to build relationships with every patient through trust and communication.

Dr. Ciechna received his medical degree from Southern Illinois University – School of Medicine and completed a family practice residency at Southern Illinois University Center for Family Medicine.

As a family nurse practitioner, Jennifer Frye, F.P.N.-B.C., is trained to care for patients aged newborn through adulthood. Jennifer is a specialized nurse who has completed extensive additional education and training.

Her certification allows her to order and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose disease, and provide appropriate treatments, including prescribing medications. Jennifer is qualified to serve as patients’ primary healthcare provider and is committed to working with patients to fulfill all of their healthcare needs.

A board-certified family medicine physician, Dr. Jennifer L. Jones has served on the Morris Hospital Medical Staff since 2001.

As a board-certified family medicine physician, Dr. Jones provides primary care for children ages 2 and older, adolescents, adults, and seniors. In addition to diagnosing and treating illness, Dr. Jones provides a wide range of care, including preventive care, routine checkups, health risk assessments, immunizations, screening tests, and personalized counseling on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. COLIN KAO, D.O.

As a board-certified family medicine physician, Dr. Colin Kao provides primary care for patients of all ages. Previously, Kelly has worked as a registered nurse since 2001 in the NICU, Emergency Department and PACU settings. She has experience as a nurse practitioner in the Emergency Department and Immediate Care, where she will continue to practice a dual role.

JAYNEE PENDERGAST, D.O.

As a board-certified family medicine physician, Dr. Jaynee Pendergast provides primary care for patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors. Born and raised in Joliet, Dr. Pendergast received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downer’s Grove and completed a family medicine residency at AMITA Health Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale, Ill. HASSNAIN SYED, M.D. †

A family medicine physician, Dr. Hassnain Syed has served on the Morris Hospital Medical Staff since 2010. He provides care for patients of all ages, newborns through adults. He is trained to provide preventive care, routine checkups, health risk assessments, immunizations, screenings, and school/sports physicals. He has a specific interest in diabetes, hypertension, behavioral health, addiction medicine, female health, pediatrics, and wound care.

Dr. Syed received his medical degree from the Allama Iqbal Medical College in Pakistan. As a family nurse practitioner, Angela Todd is qualified to serve as the primary healthcare provider for patients ranging in age from newborn to seniors. She is also able to order and interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medications. Angela has a passion for working with pediatric patients, practicing women’s health and behavioral health.

Angela received her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in nursing from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Ill. She has more than 13 years of experience as a registered nurse in the Morris Hospital Emergency Department. She is certified in advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support, and basic life support.

Angela believes in encompassing the holistic needs of every patient with an individualized plan of care. She is dedicated to instilling trust and compassion while striving to provide optimal outcomes and culturally sensitive care.

KATHY ULIVI, F.N.P.

Kathy Ulivi is qualified to serve as the primary healthcare provider for patients of all ages. She encourages her patients to participate with her in developing their plan of care, encompassing all aspects of physical, emotional, and spiritual well being.

Kathy received her Master’s of Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Olivet Nazarene University. She also holds of Master’s of Nursing in Education from Lewis University. Kathy is also a certified diabetic educator, an oncology certified nurse, and she is board certified in pain management. She also has an interest in behavioral health.

Kathy enjoys spending time with family and friends, teaching, reading, and volunteering.

DIANE ZUELKE, F.N.P.

As a family nurse practitioner, Diane Zuelke is qualified to serve as the primary healthcare provider for patients of all ages.

She is board certified as a family nurse practitioner, allowing her to order and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose disease, provide appropriate treatments, and prescribe medications. She has an interest in behavioral health.

She acquired her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL. She is a member of the Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nursing.

Diane strives to make sure every patient is involved in their own health care. She is committed to caring for and assisting all patients to achieve their health care goals.
