New IMC/OccMed Medical Director Joins Morris Hospital

May 16, 2019, MORRIS, IL Charlotte Albinson, M.D., has joined Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers as the new medical director of immediate care and occupational medicine services.

Located in Morris, Channahon and Yorkville, Morris Hospital’s immediate care centers are open seven days a week for the treatment of non-life-threatening conditions, including minor injuries, minor burns, lacerations, animal bites, coughs, colds, sore throats, fevers and infections. Patients are seen on a walk-in basis.

At all three immediate care locations, occupational medicine services are available to companies ranging in size from 10 to 10,000 employees. Participating companies can utilize a comprehensive range of services that allows them to improve the health and safety of their workforce, including drug testing, pre-employment physicals, physical ability testing, wellness and safety, and work related injury treatment and follow-up care.

Board certified in emergency medicine, Dr. Albinson has worked in immediate care/emergency room settings since 2005. She most recently served as associate medical director in Boston, where she managed 10 clinics and 40 medical providers.

Dr. Albinson received her medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University/The Chicago Medical School and completed her emergency medicine residency at University of Illinois at Chicago. She is certified as a Department of Transportation medical examiner.

Born and raised in St. Louis, Dr. Albinson says her primary goal in her new role is to facilitate a positive patient-provider experience within the immediate care and occupational medicine settings. She enjoys working with patients to get them feeling better, and she feels Morris Hospital shares her passion for delivering compassionate care.

Immediate Care and Occupational Medicine services are available at the Diagnostic & Rehabilitative Center of Morris Hospital at 100 W. Gore Rd., Morris, the Morris Hospital Ridge Road Campus, 27240 W. Saxony Dr., Channahon, and the Morris Hospital Yorkville Campus, 105 Saravanos Dr., Yorkville. Morris Hospital Immediate Care centers are open Mondays-Fridays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hours are subject to change on holidays.
