Patient Transportation
Patient Transportation
Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers is pleased to offer a free, non-emergent transportation service for individuals from Morris and the surrounding communities to the Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers campus, or to area physician offices. This important service makes healthcare accessible to patients who may be unable to drive or have limited mobility. Our vehicles are equipped to accommodate wheelchairs.
The Morris Hospital Auxiliary and Morris Hospital Foundation have provided funding for the majority of the Patient Transportation vehicles since the service began in 1998. The Patient Transportation drivers and assistants are all volunteers.
Who We Serve
Specially-equipped vehicles are available to transport patients to health related appointments. Patients have used this service to get immunizations at the Health Department, radiation therapy at the Radiation Therapy Center of Morris Hospital, dental and eye appointments at area offices, and for many other health-related needs.

How to Schedule a Ride
We ask that appointments be made at least 72 hours in advance, if possible. The rides are set up on a first call basis. We also ask that you please inform your appointment destination that you will be arriving in a Morris Hospital bus. We will do our best to coordinate appointment times based on hospital van availability.
Office Hours
To schedule a ride, please call our toll-free number 1 (877) 743-3123 or (815) 942-2932, ext. 7250. Our office is open Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. 72-hour notice is requested.
Experience the Joy of Giving
Every day, our service and fundraising Auxilians take time from their work, their leisure, and homelife to volunteer their talents and energies to Morris Hospital -- and they make a difference. Whether working directly with patients or working behind the scenes, our Auxilians enhance the level of service that we strive to provide to patients.
Morris Hospital volunteers are seniors, teenagers, and every age in between. What they share in common is their dedication and commitment to serving others. For more information on how you can service Patient Transportation or any other area of the hospital as a volunteer, call 815-942-2932, ext. 7250, or click here to read more about our volunteer program.
