Morris Hospital Three-Peats on Becker’s 100 Great Community Hospitals List

August 14, 2018, Morris, IllinoisBecker’s Hospital Review has released the 2018 edition of its list of 100 Great Community Hospitals, with Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers included for the third year in a row.

According to Becker’s Hospital Review, the hospitals included on the list are recognized for their clinical quality, operational excellence and economic impact on the community. The Becker’s Hospital Review editorial team selected hospitals for inclusion based on several rankings and ratings, among other considerations.

The list includes independent community hospitals as well as facilities affiliated with large health systems that either serve rural areas or areas outside of large cities. For the purpose of this list, Becker’s defines a community hospital as a facility with no more than 550 beds.

Morris Hospital is one of four hospitals in Illinois to make the 2018 Great Community Hospitals list. Hospitals do not pay to be included.

“We’re very pleased to be included on Becker’s Great Community Hospitals list for the third consecutive year,” says Mark Steadham, President & CEO of Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers. “The recognition is a testament to the excellent service and care provided by our staff and physicians on our Medical Staff who are clearly committed serving our local communities.”
