Morris Hospital re-opens newly renovated Prairie Avenue office

December 27, 2018, MORRIS, IL – Morris Hospital’s providers and services in Dwight are now available under one roof at the newly renovated Dwight Healthcare Center of Morris Hospital at 101 S. Prairie Ave.

Morris Hospital has consolidated its two Dwight offices to one location following the retirement of Dr. Michael Cichon and expansion and renovation of its Prairie Avenue medical facility, which officially re-opened on Jan. 2, 2019. The $300,000 renovation took 12 weeks to complete and added 1,700 square feet of previously unused space within the 5,200-square-foot building.

As a result of the renovations and expansion, Dr. Jaynee Pendergast, D.O., Family Medicine, moves from 103 S. John St. and joins Dr. Mark Passerman, D.O., Family Medicine, Kathy Ulivi, F.N.P.-B.C., Family Medicine, and Dr. Athar Saeed, M.D., Cardiology at the Prairie Ave. location. The renovated medical office building has four additional exam rooms and 12 more parking spaces, a new registration area, enlarged doorways to better accommodate wheelchairs, and more work space for staff.

“We are pleased to be able to bring our providers and services together in one location in Dwight,” says Pat Durkin, Vice President of Ambulatory Services at Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers. “In addition to the improved operational efficiencies for Morris Hospital, we believe our patients will enjoy the appearance and amenities of the newly renovated facility, along with the enhanced delivery of care that will be provided to our patients.”

Now that the transition to the Prairie Avenue office is completed, Durkin said the office at 103 S. John St. has officially closed.
