Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers is seeking two Full-Time Advanced Practice Providers, with at least one year of direct in-patient experience.  Program’s desire is to have both APPs work 7on/7off with 12-hr daytime shifts (Mon-Sun, rotating holidays).

Depending on scheduling needs, positions could be adjusted to (4) 10-hr schedule, where APPs would work every other weekend (Sa/Su) and every other holiday. Preferred applicants will be graduates of Master’s trained Adult-Gero Acute Program.

  • Collaborate and have support from your other physician & advanced practice colleagues as part of our employed hospitalist service-line that’s been successful since inception (2009)
  • Work alongside two, experienced hospitalists who take care of 95% of in-patients, which ranges from 25-35 total patient encounters. Work alongside three daytime hospitalists during higher census days/months, e.g. upper 40s
  • Meditech EMR; Dragon dictation available, dedicated hospitalist coder reviews all charts
  • Be comfortable w/rounding in open, all-encompassing ICU, e.g. Neuro, Cardio, Pulmonary consults available too. Onsite we have great Case Management/Social Work support –  Multi-Disciplinary Rounds are done with every patient (including open-ICU) in the morning
  • Work also includes responsibilities with providing direct care to adult patients, care coordination, good documentation with quality measures, reports and other records in connection with hospitalist service-line needs and coordination of discharge planning
  • ACLS required, through American Health Association; respond to all emergency codes, rapid responses and disasters at hospital
  • At night, we have one Nocturnist on-duty, with ED and Anesthesia support.  Plus, all of our sub-specialists take call overnight.

  • Work with a Level II Trauma & Primary Stroke Center, long-standing and phenomenal ED, Anesthesia & Radiology departments (including IR), plus we have a state-of-the-art 24/7 CATH Lab, and a multitude of sub-specialists and services that enable us to help improve the health of a wide variety of patients needing care from our well-established independent, community-based hospital, e.g. ENT, Ob/Gyn, onsite pathologists – our own blood bank too, PT/OT/SLP Rehabilitation Services, pain management, wound care, infusion therapy, GI, GS, Colo-Rectal, Ortho/Back/Podiatry, ID, Neph – provide inpatient Dialysis, Rheum, Endo, Tele-Psych and outpatient programs which include, but aren’t limited to Integrated Behavioral Health, Concussion Management, Sleep and accredited cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation programs.
