Morris Hospital to host retirement reception for Dr. Michael Cichon
November 9, 2018, MORRIS, IL – Morris Hospital is hosting a retirement reception for long-time physician Dr. Michael Cichon on Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the St. Patrick’s Parish Hall, 114 W. Mazon Ave., Dwight.
Dr. Cichon will retire at the end of that week after 36 years of practicing medicine in the Dwight community. The public is invited to the retirement reception to help honor Dr. Cichon, reminisce and thank him for his many years of service. Refreshments will be served.
Dr. Cichon is a 1980 graduate of Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Ill., where he received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree. In 1981, he completed an osteopathic internship at Martin Place Hospital in Madison Heights, Michigan.
He joined Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers more than two years ago with succession planning in mind. He is currently working with Dr. Jaynee Pendergast, a board-certified family medicine physician, to ensure a smooth transition for his patients.
The community will also have the opportunity to meet Dr. Pendergast at the reception.
