Morris Hospital Cardiologist Explain How to Control Blood Pressure

April 25, 2018, MORRIS, IL – Cardiologist Mary Gordon, D.O., will talk about the ups and downs of controlling blood pressure during a free program being hosted by Morris Hospital on Tuesday, May 22 from 6-7 p.m. in Whitman Assembly Room 1 at Morris Hospital, 150 W. High Street, Morris.

May is National High Blood Pressure Awareness Month. Approximately 1 of every 3 adults in the United States has high blood pressure, and there are usually no signs or symptoms. However, it’s important to manage high blood pressure because it makes your heart work harder and increases your risk of having a heart attack or stroke. During the program, Dr. Gordon will explain how high blood pressure is diagnosed, the importance of treatment, and how to gain control of the condition.

Dr. Gordon recently joined the medical staff at Morris Hospital and is part of the Morris Hospital Cardiovascular Specialists. She sees patients at office locations in Channahon, Morris and Ottawa.

Registration is requested by going to or by calling Morris Hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation at 815-705-7832.
