Morris Hospital Auxiliary Gala to Support Cardiac Screening in High Schools
January 14, 2019, MORRIS, IL – The Morris Hospital Auxiliary is hosting its 51st annual Charity Gala on Saturday, February 9 at Jennifer’s Garden, 555 Gore Road, Morris, with proceeds supporting Morris Hospital’s Rhythm of Our Youth cardiac screening program at area high schools.
Since Rhythm of Our Youth launched in 2016, Morris Hospital has screened more than 5,000 area high school students for cardiac abnormalities that could lead to sudden cardiac death through a simple EKG screening. The screening is offered free of charge to students, with Morris Hospital covering the cost of the equipment, staff and supplies. The screening returns to each area high school every other school year.
Set to the theme “All That Jazz,” this year’s Auxiliary Gala will begin with cocktails and a silent auction at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and a live auction beginning at 7 p.m. Dancing will follow, with live music and entertainment provided by the Tony Kidonakis Orchestra.
Tickets are $150 per person with seating available in tables of 10. Sponsorship opportunities are also available at the Diamond, Gold, Table, Pearl and Sapphire levels.
