Morris Hospital adds third rheumatologist to Morris office

February 15, 2018, MORRIS, IL – Board-certified rheumatologist Belal Said, M.D., is now seeing patients at the Morris Healthcare Center of Morris Hospital, 1345 Edwards St., Morris.

Dr. Said is joining board-certified rheumatologists Dr. Hadi Hedayati and Dr. Deena Raval at the Edwards Street office. He is continuing to see patients at the Channahon Healthcare Center of Morris Hospital, 25259 Reed Street, Channahon.

Dr. Said joined the Morris Hospital Rheumatology Specialists in December 2016, after practicing five years in eastern Kentucky. He attended medical school at Jordan University of Science and Technology in Irbid, Jordan, and completed an internal medicine residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, Conn., and a rheumatology fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center in New York.

As rheumatologists, Dr. Hedayati, Dr. Raval and Dr. Said specialize in the diagnosis, management and treatment of musculoskeletal and rheumatic diseases, including bursitis, gout/pseudogout, lupus and related diseases, osteoarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and vasculitis. Many of these conditions are characterized by joint pain and inflammation, as well as muscle soreness and stiffness.

“We are very excited to have Dr. Said join us in our Morris office,” says Dr. Hedayati, who has been serving patients in the Morris office for more than 20 years. “Patients come to us from many miles away. The addition of Dr. Said will allow our practice to better serve those needing care from a rheumatologist.”
