Immediate Care physician joins Ridge Road Campus

March 26, 2018, MORRIS, IL – Board-certified physician Hasan Suleiman, M.D., has joined the immediate care team at the Morris Hospital Ridge Road Campus, 27240 W. Saxony Dr., Channahon.

Located just north of the intersection of Route 6 and Ridge Road, Morris Hospital’s immediate care is open seven days a week for the treatment of non-life-threatening conditions, including minor injuries, minor burns, lacerations, animal bites, coughs, colds, sore throats, fevers and infections. Patients are seen on a walk-in basis.

Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, Dr. Suleiman has been working in immediate care settings in the Chicagoland area for the last three years since receiving his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Miramar, Fla., and completing a family medicine residency at Wayne State University. Board certified in family medicine, he is trained and experienced in diagnosing and caring for a wide range of health conditions.

“I enjoy having the ability to help someone right away in that moment by figuring out the correct diagnosis and treating the issue properly,” Dr. Suleiman said. “It’s that in-the-moment type of feeling that I’m giving someone relief and helping them out that I’m passionate about.”

Dr. Suleiman always thought he would pursue a career in the medical field, but the path to becoming a physician didn’t become clear until he started working as a phlebotomist when he was an undergraduate student at the University of Illinois-Chicago. It was then when he realized how much he enjoyed helping people.

“When I was a phlebotomist, patients were so appreciative to me for having helped them,” said Dr. Suleiman. “You can’t do much better than helping another person.”

Immediate Care at the Morris Hospital Ride Road Campus is open Mondays-Fridays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hours are subject to change on holidays. Morris Hospital also offers immediate care services at the Diagnostic & Rehabilitative Center of Morris Hospital at 100 W. Gore Rd., Morris, and the Morris Hospital Yorkville Campus, 105 Saravanos Dr., Yorkville. All facilities are equipped with exam and procedure rooms, as well as on-site laboratory and x-ray testing.
