Heart Rhythm Specialist Joins Morris Hospital Medical Staff
Aug. 12, 2020, MORRIS, IL – A board-certified cardiologist from Loyola University Medical Center who specializes in heart rhythm conditions has joined the Morris Hospital Medical Staff.
As an electrophysiologist, Dr. Alexander Green has special expertise in the diagnosis and management of heart rhythm conditions and implantation of cardiac devices such as pacemakers, defibrillators and implantable cardiac monitors. He is seeing patients at the Morris Hospital Cardiovascular Specialists’ office at 151 W. High St., Morris, along with Dr. Syed Ahmed, Dr. Mary Gordon and Dr. Athar Saeed. Dr. Gordon is a general cardiologist, and Dr. Ahmed and Dr. Saeed are both interventional cardiologists who specialize in catheter-based procedures such as angioplasty and stenting.
Dr. Green completed a three-year residency in internal medicine at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Ill., followed by fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and clinical cardiac electrophysiology, also at Loyola. He received a medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine in 2001 and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
Along with his work as an electrophysiologist, Dr. Green is associate professor of medicine at Loyola University’s Stritch School of Medicine.
