Grundy County’s First Baby of the New Year Arrives on Jan. 2

January 3, 2020, MORRIS, IL – Grundy County’s first baby of the new year and decade arrived at Morris Hospital on January 2 at 2:03 p.m. Baby Wesley Dwayne Terry is the son of Jessica Hines and Tyler Terry of Morris.

Delivered by Morris Hospital obstetrician/gynecologist Dr. Douglas Toussaint, Wesley Dwayne weighed 5 lb., 5 oz., and measured 18 inches in length. He is the grandson of Judy Hines of Morris, Adam Terry of Mazon, and Sarah Glasch of Montgomery.

Despite arriving two weeks early, Wesley’s Grandma Judy said he “came into the world like he was ready,” adding that he is “good as gold.”

As Grundy County’s first baby of 2020, the family was showered with gifts from Grundy County Chamber of Commerce members, including a pacifier, two onesies and a bib from Busey Bank; a bib from the Morris Community YMCA; game tickets from the Slammers; a gift basket from the United Way of Grundy County; a onesie and one month membership from Fitness Premier; a money centerpiece from Edward Jones – Laura Stehlik; a Sit Me Up floor seat and stuffed elephant from Step by Step Child Care Center, a $25 gift certificate from the Grundy Chamber of Commerce, and a video monitor from Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers.
