Auxiliary Announces Golf Outing, Bridge/Euchre Tournament

September 6, 2018, MORRIS, IL – The Morris Hospital Auxiliary will host its annual Golf Outing and Bridge/Euchre Tournament on Monday, September 24, at the Morris Country Club, 2615 U.S. Route 6 in Morris. Guests are invited to golf, play cards, come for a casual dinner, or take part in the fourth annual helicopter golf ball drop, with all proceeds benefitting the Morris Hospital Patient Transportation and LifeLine® programs.

Activities begin with golfer check-in and lunch from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. At noon, golfers will head out on the links for 18 holes of golf. The Bridge and Euchre tournaments will begin with lunch and registration opening at 1:00 p.m. and games starting at 2:00 p.m. All golf participants, as well as guests from the community, are invited to a buffet-style dinner at 5 p.m. The dinner program will include a brief awards reception and 50/50 raffle drawing.

At 6:15 pm, Kendall Copters will help the Morris Hospital Auxiliary drop some 200 plus golf balls while hovering directly over a Morris Country Club green. The purchaser of the ball that goes into, or is closest to, the designated hole wins an eight day stay for two from their choice of over 2,000 resorts within the U.S., Caribbean, and over 30 countries worldwide including selections in Hawaii, Orlando, Mexico, Virgin Islands, Lake Tahoe, and more. Participants need not be present to win.

The cost for 18 holes of golf, lunch and dinner is $150 per person or $540 for a foursome. Registration for Bridge and Euchre is $30 per person and includes lunch or dinner. Individual tickets for the dinner are also available for $25. A cash bar will be provided. Golf balls for the helicopter drop are one for $20, three for $50, or seven for $100.

For 20 years, patients have relied on the complimentary Patient Transportation Service of Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers. This landmark program has provided more than 240,000 trips to and from medical appointments, making health care accessible to patients who live in more than twenty area communities. While the Patient Transportation Program carries out a commitment to accessible medical care, Lifeline® is an emergency response system that provides instant access to emergency assistance and peace-of-mind for individuals who live alone.

Sponsorships for the golf outing with varying benefits are available at the following levels: $5,000 “Top Flite,” $2,500 “Eagle,” $1,000 “Driver,” and $500 for a hole sponsorship.
