Description

May is National High Blood Pressure Awareness Month. Approximately 1 of every 3 adults in the United States has high blood pressure, and there are usually no signs or symptoms. However, it’s important to manage high blood pressure because it makes your heart work harder and increases your risk of having a heart attack or stroke. Dr. Mary Gordon, a cardiologist with Morris Hospital Cardiovascular Specialists, will explain how high blood pressure is diagnosed, the importance of treatment, and how to gain control of the condition.
