SUMMARY:Rhythm of Our Youth at the YMCA
DESCRIPTION:Morris Hospital is offering its Rhythm of Our Youth cardiac scr
 eening on this specially scheduled date outside the school year in order t
 o identify high school students who have an undiagnosed cardiac abnormalit
 y that could result in sudden cardiac death. The free screening involves a
 n electrocardiogram\, a non-invasive\, painless test that measures the ele
 ctrical activity of the heart and detects certain heart abnormalities that
  can lead to sudden cardiac death. Based on results of the screenings\, ab
 out 3 percent of students are referred to their physician for additional f
 ollow-up. Typically\, less than 1 percent are found to have a medical prob
 lem that requires cardiac intervention.\n\nThis screening date is for stud
 ents who are entering their freshmen\, sophomore\, junior or senior year o
 f high school during the 2025/2026 school year or a 2025 high school gradu
 ate.  To reserve a screening time for your student\, please complete the 
 registration form. Please note\, a consent for screening form must also be
  completed for each child being screened prior to their scheduled time. We
  are unable to proceed with the screening without a consent form completed
 .
