Description

As an accredited cancer program through the Commission on Cancer of the College of American Surgeons, Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers is committed to offering early detection prostate screenings annually free of charge. The screening is intended for men ages 50 to 70 who do not have prostate cancer and are free of symptoms and includes a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test and a digital rectal exam performed by a urologist with Advanced Urology Associates. Men at high risk for prostate cancer, including African American men and men who have a close relative diagnosed with prostate cancer before age 65, should speak with their physician about beginning testing at an earlier age. Limited appointments are available. Advance registration is required by calling Morris Hospital at 815-416-6089.
