Description

Whether you’re the parent of an athlete or toddler, or a senior who is susceptible to falling, join us on National Concussion Awareness Day to learn why it’s important to take action after experiencing a bump, blow, or jolt to the head. During this FREE program, Morris Hospital Neurologist Dr. Isaac Mezo will review how a concussion affects the brain, common signs and symptoms, and why it’s important to receive appropriate treatment of a suspected concussion.

The FREE education series is open to the public, ages 18 and older, and non-YMCA members are welcome to attend! To register, call the Morris Hospital YMCA at (815) 513-8080 or click here to be redirected to the YMCA event page. If you are not a current YMCA member, you will be required to “sign up” to register for the session. Please select the Community Member options to ensure you will not be prompted to pay the monthly membership fee to attend the free sessions.
