Morris Hospital Repeats on Becker’s List

June 5, 2017, Morris, Illinois – Becker’s Hospital Review released today the 2017 edition of its list of 100 Great Community Hospitals, with Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers included for the second year in a row.

According to Becker’s Hospital Review, the hospitals included on the list are recognized for quality, patient satisfaction and overall excellence and play a key role in their communities as the centerpiece for healthcare. The Becker’s Hospital Review editorial team selected hospitals for inclusion based on analysis of key awards, rankings and certifications in addition to the hospital’s reputation for leadership and innovation.

The list includes independent community hospitals as well as facilities affiliated with large health systems. For the purpose of this list, Becker’s defines a community hospital as a facility with no more than 550 beds.

Morris Hospital is one of five hospitals in Illinois to make the 2017 Great Community Hospitals list. Hospitals do not pay to be included.

“We’re very pleased to be included on Becker’s Great Community Hospitals list for a second consecutive year,” says Mark Steadham, President & CEO. “Recognition like this is a reflection of the excellent care provided by the physicians and staff who care for our patients.”
