Morris Hospital is centrally located in Morris, Illinois... right in the heart of Grundy County. Situated along the Illinois River at the intersections of State Routes 6 & 47 and just one mile off Interstate 80, Morris has a population of just over 12,000 people and features a full-time police department along with a volunteer fire department and ambulance service. In addition, visitors come from miles around to enjoy the small-town shopping that is available in Morris' prospering downtown. There are also five motels, a theater, restaurants, a furniture store and a banquet hall located nearby. Whether you're looking for scenic beauty, historic buildings, antiques or specialty shops, you'll appreciate the atmosphere in Morris.
As the county seat of Grundy County, Morris not only offers residents the only hospital in the county, but also features the district's library system, modern schools, small parks, ball diamonds, tennis courts, two golf courses and a swimming pool. Gebhard Woods State Park and the Stratton State Park are also conveniently located for launching boats on the Illinois River. What's more, it is located in the southwestern region of Chicago's Primary Metropolitan Statistical Area (only 55 miles southwest of Chicago)!
